Copenacre

Corsham, Wiltshire

We are working with Wiltshire Council to design new social and shared-ownership homes on a site off Copenacre Way in Corsham. The development includes 36 one- and two-bedroom apartments, alongside a central communal building housing a residents’ lounge, office space, and laundry facilities.

All homes are designed to be fully accessible, with level access at the entrance and dedicated mobility scooter storage near the front door. Each apartment will have its own private terrace or balcony, as well as access to a shared central courtyard featuring resident allotments, seating areas, and planting beds.

The site layout responds sensitively to its surroundings, including existing homes on Copenacre Way and Albion Crescent, and the nearby green spaces. A new building to the west of the site faces one of these green spaces, helping to frame the street and screen views of the parking court behind. A second building runs along the eastern edge of the site, completing the opposite side of Albion Crescent and defining the central courtyard, which opens southwards to maximise sunlight and provide views across the site.

The project was submitted for planning in spring 2025.
